Around the world, young people are increasingly showing their concern about environmental sustainability.
Educators and school systems need to meet this growing need with student-centric curriculum and tools.
The Youth Sustainability Action (YSA) Program is a yearlong program that aims to address sustainability issues in Primary and Secondary Schools through a multifaceted approach.
Motivate primary & secondary students to explore sustainability concepts and challenges facing the world today
Equip primary & secondary students with the skills, knowledge, and dispositions necessary to be an advocate for sustainability issues
Provide schools with actionable high-leverage data to inform future sustainability initiatives (including, but not limited to, infrastructure & student programmes)
Value to Stakeholders
Provides a clear roadmap towards national (Singapore) sustainability targets, i.e. achieving a two-thirds reduction of net carbon emissions and being carbon neutral by 2030.
Enables students to strengthen awareness of future ‘green jobs’ and gain skills required to execute their own sustainability project. Through the program, students gain enduring habits and practices focused on sustainability, and are motivated to actively contribute to a sustainable future.
Invest in the next generation and contribute to the development of a sustainable society through high-impact, high-visibility programmes.
